Overall Safari Zone rules:
All players are expected to be aware of the most current/up-to-date rules. If any rule is violated, players can and will be punished immediately. Warnings do not have to be given, and will only be given on a case-by-case basis. Breaking the rules on the RPG, forums, or chatrooms can result in a ban on all said platforms, if necessary.
For any player caught breaking any rules, all accounts owned by that player can potentially receive a ban, depending on the scenario, regardless if only one account has broken the rule.
The following rules apply to all platforms of Safari Zone (RPG, forums, chatrooms, etc.):
1) Maintain respect for all others. Do not flame or harass others or use offensive language. Always assume there is a younger crowd in the community. For example, censoring profane language does not make it okay to say it.
a. All rules apply to moderators as well. If you see a moderator breaking any rule, please follow the regular procedure and report them to another moderator.
2) Do not spam. This includes advertising other games, a personal website/chat channel, etc.
3) Your profile/signatures and usernames should be appropriate. No profane or absurd language.
4) Do not create threads or make posts accusing others of breaking rules. Use the “report” function or contact a moderator instead.
a. Do not make a thread directed to a single user. A private message would be suited for that.
b. To discuss or dispute a ban, please only contact the moderator that set the ban and no one else.
5) Do not spam or bombard staff with messages. You may remind them of a request you have made or issue you are trying to conclude, but please keep in mind that staff have their own lives to worry about away from Safari Zone.
6) Do not impersonate or pretend to be someone else. This includes registering someone else’s nick-name on another platform as this may cause confusion and enables impersonation.
a. You may not trade or offer another player’s Pokémon.
7) Do not type in all capitals or type non-sense in a way that disrupts the community atmosphere.
8) Communicate in English only as this is the only way for staff to moderate the forums and maintain peace while ensuring all community guidelines are being followed.
9) Do not post others’ personal or sensitive information for any reason. This includes gathering and sharing personal information of others amongst yourselves.
10) Do not ask for free Pokémon/RPG$/status etc.
11) Do not create additional accounts apart from the maximum amount allowed per user. This includes RPG, forums, chatroom etc. REMINDER – this can result in all accounts being banned, and not just the alternate account(s).
RPG-specific rules:
1) Do not cheat. Cheating includes programs such as auto-clickers, macros, etc. Do not use more than one browser/window to battle at the same time. Do not abuse glitches/errors to obtain things you otherwise would not have been able to get without the glitch/error. Do not take advantage of short-cuts that can give you an unfair advantage over other players that are playing the game the way it is supposed to be played. An example of this would be to battle an account that is not functioning regularly. Do not refresh or use shortcuts to gain an advantage over others. Do not alter button placements or change anything related to standard mechanics (including battling). Complete all battles, occasionally not completing due to system error etc. is fine, as long as nothing is being exploited. Do not evade security measures placed to maintain the well-being of the game.
a. If you find a glitch/error or other problem, please privately contact staff. DO NOT post it on forums or other chatrooms etc. and do not abuse it yourself.
b. Do not discuss, place in signature, or post in any thread etc. that encourage cheating or breaking of any rules.
2) You may not trade/exchange things from Safari Zone for things on any other game/website. This includes in-real-life items/money or anything else outside of this game.
3) Glitches and “glitched” Pokémon are not allowed to be traded or sold. This includes anything that is not intended to exist. There can be exceptions to this rule that will be allowed to remain in the game and be traded/sold/exchanged and treated as a regular Pokémon. If you are unsure, please contact staff and ask.
4) Do not create alternate accounts for the sole purpose of hoarding promos and/or Pokémon with limited availability.
a) Only actively-maintained accounts may be used for obtaining limited-time Pokémon. This is up to the staff to deem if an account is active or not. For example, if an account was only logged into twice in a year, that account would not be considered “active” and may risk a ban if a limited-time or “special” Pokémon is claimed on it.
b) Do not create multiple accounts for the sole purpose of getting additional starters, promos, or rewards from special events/challenges/quests etc.
5) Do not share accounts with anyone. We do not suggest using proxies/IP masking software while on Safari Zone as this may lead into future issues regarding rules/regulations.
a) Do not trade or give away accounts.
b) Do NOT share your password with ANYONE. Always log out before leaving your device. Staff members will never ask you for your password in any circumstance.
6) Do not scam or make any false accusations regarding anything you have on Safari Zone. Do not ask anyone to send you anything first before you send to them. Do not offer to train for someone and then steal their Pokémon. Please note: if you lend your Pokémon to someone or send it to them for training, staff cannot help you get your Pokémon back. This includes the scenario where the other player gets banned due to cheating and your Pokémon is stuck inside their account.
7) If an account is banned and that account holds mod Pokémon or staff contest Pokémon, those Pokémon can be removed at staff’s discretion.
Forum-specific rules:
1) Do not spam or abuse the report function. There must always be a valid reason as to why you are reporting someone. Reporting unnecessarily wastes time for staff and will result in action being taken against the abuser.
2) Do not share forum accounts.
3) Do not create a new forum account to avoid temporary bans or to pretend to be someone else or someone new. If you are permanently banned, you can appeal it by speaking with staff.
4) Do not bump threads, except in the trading section where you can bump your thread with at least a 5-minute interval since the last post in that thread. You may not delete a thread or post to find a way around this rule. Use the “edit” button if you would like to change what you posted.
5) Do not create a thread asking what a Pokémon is valued. There are no official values or rates for Pokémon and is subjective. If you make a “bad” trade, you will be accountable for it.
6) Do not post profane, offensive or not-safe-for-work photos/images/videos/content.
a) Do not spam images or media content.
Keep in mind:
If you make a guide/article or help thread, you accept that a staff member can use, edit, change, move, or remove if needed. Staff are also allowed to lock said threads and/or edit/delete/move any posts in any forum, if necessary. This could happen for multiple reasons, such as inappropriate, off-topic, old, or no-longer-needed threads/posts. If you need to discuss or resolve anything in this regard, please contact a moderator.
